With over three decades of experience in Preventive and Occupational Medicine , he is dedicated to the philosophy that health is a proactive journey, not just a reactive fix.

A board-certified specialist in Preventive Medicine with advanced training in Hyperbaric Medicine and Immunology , Dr. Borrillo’s clinical background spans from serving as a Flight Surgeon in the U.S. Air Force to managing the health of thousands at sea as a Senior Cruise Ship Doctor. His deep understanding of how the body rehydrates, recovers, and restores itself at a cellular level provides the scientific foundation for our IV therapies and wellness programs.

Beyond his clinical and legal accolades, Dr. Borrillo is a true "health enthusiast" who lives the mission of Thrive. He is an active parishioner and a dedicated volunteer, having led multiple medical missions to Appalachia and El Salvador. When he isn’t overseeing clinical operations or teaching at the University of Toledo Medical Center , you can often find him in the cockpit—he is a Commercial Multi-Engine rated pilot who shares the same passion for adventure and the outdoors as the rest of our Catawba Island team.
